What is ShuckShuck?
We define ShuckShuck as a sustainable and social food concept. At our core, we are a quick-casual, raw oyster concept delivering a unique customer experience by combining a high energy space, sustainable operations, and excellent food.
Our goal is to promote oysters as a sustainable food protein, as farmed oysters are one of the most sustainable and nutrient-rich food sources. Our mission is to create one of the most recognized sustainable food brands in Canada. To educate consumers, we accomplish this by making oysters more approachable and accessible, using familiar ingredients and taste profiles as toppings in our raw oyster menu.
With our value-driven business model, combined with a fast-paced, high energy atmosphere, we are building a unique and interesting food concept for Vancouver!
What We’re Hiring For
We are currently looking to hire 5-7 Team Members (full time and/or part-time) to join us on our mission. As our food concept doesn’t differentiate between the traditional Front/Back of the house, all Team Members share the responsibilities in day-to-day operations. These include responsibilities include food preparation, oyster shucking, serving of food and beverages, etc.
Who We’re Looking For
We do not require candidates to have previous food/service experience, however, candidates with experience are a plus. Especially those with Smart Serve or Food Safety Certificates.
- Enthusiasm for customer service
- Devotion to sustainable operating practices (social, environmental, community)
- Eager to learn (ie. how to shuck oysters, oyster aquaculture, etc)
